James Tedesco Awarded the Brad Fittler Medal

Sydney Roosters and New South Wales Blues fullback James Tedesco was named the 2018 Brad Fittler Medalist after a sensational State Of Origin campaign this season.

There wasn't an off game for Tedesco throughout the Series, with his flashiness in game one lifting the Blues to a comfortable win and his defence in game two setting the platform for a grinding victory.

He finished the series with an impressive 25 tackle breaks, led the series in post contact metres (145.2m) and had the most line break assists with 3.

Tedesco was chosen for the 14th annual Brad Fittler Medal by his team-mates, who voted 3-2-1 after each match.

"To receive an award like this knowing how many great players have received it as well is pretty special, Tedesco said.

"I know Mum and Dad are proud, and I'm proud of myself too."
