Season Review | Ryan Matterson

Ryan Matterson was as reliable as ever in 2018, finding a consistent home as a second rower as well as doing his usual utility work when it was required.

Matterson started the season in top form and spent a fair portion of the season starting in the second row.

He spent seven weeks on the sideline after sustaining a concussion in Round 11 against the Brisbane Broncos and receiving overdue wrist surgery.

In Round 18 he made his return against the Gold Coast Titans where he also played his 50th NRL match.

From round 21 to round 23, he was moved to five eighth as injury cover for Luke Keary and spent the remainder of the season making his impact from the bench.
