Crichton Seeking Success In Return To Roosters

After a number of new squad members were welcomed to the Sydney Roosters ahead of the 2019 NRL Telstra Premiership season, Angus Crichton was welcomed back to the Club.

Crichton spent his younger years at the Roosters as a member of the 2014 S.G. Ball squad that went on to win the Cup, alongside current squad members Latrell Mitchell, Joseph Manu, Bernard Lewis and Poasa Faamausili.

Now mid-way through the third week of the pre-season, Crichton has well and truly settled back in and is enjoying his time at the Club.

"I'm absolutely loving my time back in the red, white and blue," Crichton said.

"I'm getting to know all of the new faces, new coaches, all the new stuff and really loving it."

After successful shoulder surgery in the off-season and some time away travelling, Crichton has returned feeling fresh and ready for the new season.

"I'm back doing full skills now, and will return to full contact after Christmas I think.

"It's tracking ahead of schedule, so I'll be ready for the season."

Crichton is just 22 years old, but finds himself as one of the more experienced squad members at this point of the pre-season.

With plenty still to learn as a footballer and room to improve, Crichton wants to continue his success both in his own development and with his new Club.

"For me, it's just success.

"Success as a team, success as a Club, I think this team that we have here is bound for success.

"It's in our hands to train hard, to trust our coaches and to work as a team.

"If we do that, we'll put ourselves in a great position for success in 2019."
