Ruan Sims Named Woman Of The Year Finalist

Sydney Roosters forward Ruan Sims has been named as one of four finalists for the New South Wales Premier's Woman of the Year award.

Sims has many strings to her bow, from her work as a firefighter, leader of the Roosters Women's forward pack, Channel Nine commentator and an advocate for domestic violence and mental health. 

In her rugby league career, Sims has an impressive list of accomplishments on her resume that includes captaining the Australian Jillaroos and New South Wales Blues.

On top of that, she has won three World Cups with the Women's Rugby Sevens Australian team. 

She is joined by finalists Associate Professor Payal Mukherjee, Laura O'Reilly and Tracy Spicer AM. 

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian will determine the winner of the prestigious award on March 7.
