The Sydney Roosters are back in action in Round 13 when they take on the Penrith Panthers on the road for a Sunday afternoon showdown.

Three grades will be on show at Panthers Stadium, including the Jersey Flegg Under 20s and the North Sydney Bears Canterbury Cup squad. 

Here's what you need to know ahead of kick off!

TRANSPORT

M4 ROAD CLOSURE

Fans are encouraged to catch public transport to the game with Penrith train station only a 10-minute walk from the Panthers Stadium and services running every 15 minutes in both directions.

Anyone driving to the game is reminded to allow extra travel time as the M4 Motorway will be closed in both directions at The Northern Road, South Penrith, for scheduled roadwork.

Motorists will be diverted to the Great Western Highway and heavy traffic is expected.

The M4 Motorway will be closed from 9pm Friday 7 June until 4am Tuesday 11 June.

A bus stop and taxi rank are located at the front of Panthers Penrith Leagues Club, directly opposite Panthers Stadium, on Mulgoa Rd.

The nearest railway station is Penrith, approximately a 10 minute walk from Panthers Stadium.

Free but limited parking is available within the grounds of Panthers Penrith Leagues Club and in the streets surrounding Panthers Stadium.

The small car park located on the western side of Panthers Stadium is reserved for disabled parking. To gain access a valid disabled parking sticker must be displayed.

  • Paid parking is available at the following locations:
  • Penrith Cricket Club – $5, entry off Station St
  • Penrith Paceway - $5, entry off Ransley St

Food and Beverage

Food and beverage facilities are available throughout the public areas of Panthers Stadium selling a variety of catered products.

Patrons are allowed to bring pre-packaged food such as sandwiches, fruit, biscuits, cakes, crisps, provided they are for individual consumption and are packaged appropriately.

Unopened non-alcoholic beverages such as milk, juice, water, soft drink and alike at or less than 600ml (not packaged in glass or aluminium cans) for individual consumption are permitted.

Tea, coffee and soups in thermoses are acceptable (though will be checked).

Patrons are not permitted to bring food or beverage products packaged or purchased at commercial outlets outside the stadiums licensed area (ie fast foods such as McDonalds or KFC). This does not apply to patrons with special dietary requirement and is at the discretion of venue staff.

Eskies will be permitted inside the stadium but will be subject to search and must be able to fit under a seat if in a reserved seating area.

Under the liquor license assigned to Panthers Stadium, alcohol consumption is restricted to the boundary fences of the property, within appropriately signed areas.

Alcoholic beverages cannot be taken into or from Panthers Stadium. Alcoholic beverages are not to be consumed within the designated alcohol free zones of east terrace bays 1-5, Kids Corner forecourt or Family (North) Hill.

Anyone found supplying or buying alcohol for a minor or an intoxicated patron will be evicted from the event and may face criminal charges. Any minor found consuming alcohol will face similar action.
