In a season that had many highlights, one of the top Tricolours talking points was the career-best form of Siosiua Taukieaho in 2019.
It started with a barn-storming effort in Round 3 against the Parramatta Eels when Jared Waerea-Hargreaves was forced from the field and continued with a Fan Voted Man Of The Match performance in Round 4 when Taukeiaho dominated against the Brisbane Broncos.
His form was electric in 2019, with a number of notable and standout performances in his most consistent season to date.
Not only was he consistent, but he also had the unique ability to stand the tallest when he was most needed throughout the year.
His clutch try against the Dragons in Round 7 sealed the Anzac Day Cup, while his lone try assist of the season was to send James Tedesco over in the Grand Final Qualifier against the Melbourne Storm and seal the win.
Taukeiaho lined up for Tonga in the Representative Round and will represent them again in test matches later in the month.
