The Sydney Roosters officially kicked off their pre-season preparations last week with an intense and unique training camp in Queenstown, New Zealand.
This is the fourth consecutive pre-season that the Roosters have taken a camp to Queenstown and the first time when only the younger members of the squad were in attendance.
The camp has a strong focus on hard work, leadership, team building and resilience.

Under the watchful eye of Head Coach Trent Robinson, Head Of Performance Travis Touma and Assistant Coaches Craig Fitzgibbon, Matt King and Nathan Cayless, the squad were pushed to their limits with both physical and mental challenges.
Assistant Coach Matt King discussed the four day camp and the importance of the young squad having the experience.

"While the camp and the training is a great way for the boys to get started, it’s also really important in building camaraderie with the players and staff and to bring everyone together," King said.
"We love coming here as a club, and the Kiwi guys love it too.
"There’s a strong New Zealand connection at our Club and there’s a strong sense of home for a lot of guys in this group."

The Roosters would like to thank the team at Mule Event Management for their continued support and assistance with our pre-season Queenstown camp.
The squad members that attended the camp returned to Roosters Headquarters today for the first time this pre-season to begin their preparations ahead of the 2020 NRL season.
