Central Coast Roosters Fight Hard In Inaugural Clash

It was a close encounter between two of the heavyweights of the Harvey Norman Women's competition, with the Roosters falling short against the Cronulla Sharks at PointsBet Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Roosters started strong with Caitlan Johnston scoring a hard earned four-pointer in the opening fifteen minutes of the matchs.

The Sharks hit back through halfback Maddie Studdon who also converted her try.

With some early mistakes by the Roosters in the second half, the home side capitalised through Corbin McGregor and Carla Cowan taking their lead out to 16-4.

The Roosters narrowed the gap with Caitlin Johnston crossing for her second try after the full time siren, taking the final score to 16-10.
