The Sydney Roosters have been humbled by show of support as Members pledge their 2020 Membership to the Club.
In a huge show of support, over $400,000 worth of pledges have been made by Members throughout Australia and overseas, throughout the NRL shutdown, along with some inspiring messages of support for our players and staff.
This financial support has been invaluable at a time when the Club has lost significant game day related revenue such as ticket sales, merchandise and corporate hospitality, with no guarantee that they will return this season.
The contribution from Members has enabled us to make some positive decisions that will ultimately benefit our NRL team’s preparations for this season and beyond.
This includes the retention of our football department staff along with providing funding assistance to our football operational costs. There is complete confidence that our Club can now prepare for the NRL return with stability and continuity.
It’s not to say that the Club won’t face ongoing challenges.
Our administration staff continues to work remotely on considerably reduced hours, and our office remains closed to all but our players and support staff in line with the NRL’s Project Apollo guidelines.
Despite these challenges, our staff remains absolutely committed to the Club, servicing our Members and Sponsors as best they can under the circumstances and ensuring our Club is in the strongest possible position to defend our consecutive Premierships.
Club Members that make the pledge will be recognised by having their name and Membership category listed on a Pledge Honour Roll that will feature on our website from mid next week. The Club does appreciate that some Members will elect not to, or be in a position to, pledge their 2020 Membership, and we respect, support and understand your decision.

What is the Members Pledge?
The Members Pledge means that no matter what happens this NRL season, you will remain financially committed to the Club with your 2020 Membership.
It goes without saying that our Membership revenues will be critical to this Club’s capacity to come through this crisis.
By pledging your Membership fee, you will ensure that our Club remains strong on and off the field and best positioned to challenge for the NRL Premiership now and in the future.
