It started with the fire and emotion you would expect from a Grand Final qualifier, but it would soon turn into a neck-and-neck encounter between the top two teams on the 2019 NRL ladder.

Boyd Cordner was the lone try-scorer of the first half, but it was big man Nelson Asofa-Solomona that brought it level early in the second half.

It took time to crack the Storm's defence, but it would eventually be done when Cooper Cronk found a little space and James Tedesco was there to finish it off as he'd done all year long.

In Round 8, the two sides are once again right next to each other on the NRL ladder and will face off for what's sure to be another neck-and-neck affair.
