Talking Points | Round 11

With the Roosters set for their first afternoon battle today at Central Coast Stadium, let's run through the big talking points from the week.

ASPIRING FOR IMPROVEMENT

In a team media conference earlier in the week, a number of players discussed their disappointment with Round 10's clash with the Raiders.

All were on the same page though when discussing the desire to right wrongs and improve their performance this week.

"We're burning from that loss," Captain Boyd Cordner said when discussing Round 10.

"We're all keen to get out there on Saturday and turn that around."

CENTRAL COAST RETURN

The Sydney Roosters have taken a home and pre-season game per season to the Central Coast every season since 2015.

On top of that, today will mark the first afternoon fixture for the Tricolours since the resumption of the competition in Round 3.

"It'll be awesome," Assistant Coach Nathan Cayless said at this week's Team Talk.

"It'll be great to play under the sun in nice weather under a nice dry track to really show what the boys can do."

The Roosters and Warriors haven't faced each other at Central Coast Stadium since 2016.

FORWARDS RESHUFFLE

After a late withdrawal from the Round 10 line-up, Nat Butcher returns for Saturday afternoon.

Isaac Liu is set to return to the starting lock position, while Siosiua Taukeiaho returns to prop after filling in at lock last week and Lindsay Collins returns to the bench.

LAST TIME WE MET

The Last Time We Met the New Zealand Warriors was on a Sunday afternoon at the Sydney Cricket Ground and it was a try scoring kind of Tricolours day.
