Need To Know | State of Origin 2020

Iconic Australian fuel brand Ampol has taken over as naming rights partner of the men's series this year after Holden's collapse. Ampol will then sponsor both the men's and women's series from 2021-23.

When: SOO 1, 2 & 3.
Overview: The KFC Chicken Run activation during half-time at each State of Origin match will be giving away KFC vouchers to lucky winners.  A fan cheering for each team will be selected from the crowd to come on field during half-time.
The fans will race each other from the 50m line to the try line in the Chicken Run for the opportunity to win.

The winner of the race will get to choose between 3 KFC buckets, and will win the prize inside the selected bucket.

Chemist Warehouse Couch Commentator activation will be live across the State of Origin Series from Wednesday 4th of November. Fans are encouraged to submit their best commentary of the greatest of all time State of Origin moment.

Two lucky winners will receive access to the Chemist Warehouse deck inside Suncorp Stadium at Game 3 for the best seats in the house for them and a mate, the opportunity for their commentary to be included in a selected Inside the NRL panel show, and a $500 Chemist Warehouse voucher.

Women's State of Origin

The Harvey Norman Women's State of Origin clash took place at Sunshine Coast Stadium on Friday, November 13 with Queensland defeating NSW.

The Blues had won the past four interstate fixtures.

The match was officially been declared a sellout with all tickets snapped up by Thursday afternoon.

"Harvey Norman Women’s State of Origin is incredibly important to us. We’re delighted to be able to make history on the Sunshine Coast tomorrow, playing the first Women’s Origin in Queensland," NRL CEO Andrew Abdo said.

"The Commission made it a priority this year to ensure we completed our entire elite women’s schedule, as well as the men, and we’re proud that despite the challenges of COVID we’ll achieve that goal.

"I want to thank the Sunshine Coast community for their support of rugby league this year. Firstly, hosting our Premiers the Melbourne Storm and now reaching our venue capacity for Women’s Origin.

"The Sunshine Coast will be beamed live into households across the country tomorrow night, that’s excellent exposure for a tourist centre like the Sunshine Coast."
