Season Review | Daniel Tupou

The longest serving member of the Roosters backline, Daniel Tupou once again made his mark on the field for the Tricolours in 2020.

He scored four tries in the opening six rounds of the competition, while flexing his muscles as one of the premier wingers in the competition with strong carries out of his own end and relentless defensive efforts.

Tupou sparked a strong partnership with his new inside centre Josh Morris and the pair provided a number of highlight plays throughout the season on the left edge.

After sustaining a syndesmosis injury in Round 8, Tupou was sidelined for seven weeks of NRL action, which didn't stop him from returning to the field in fine form.

In Round 18 of the season, Tupou scored his 100th NRL try for the Sydney Roosters and is now fourth on the all time leading scorers list.

At the conclusion of the NRL season, he was named in the New South Wales Blues squad for the first time since 2015.

He was a standout for the Blues in game one and has retained his spot for game two.
