The Sydney Roosters are delighted to announce a groundbreaking partnership with leading Australian tertiary education provider, Torrens University.
The agreement will provide the club’s NRL, NRLW and Under 20s players as well as Easts Group staff, access to Torrens Universities tertiary education courses and programs.
The Sydney Roosters will also provide a range of exciting internship and work-integrated learning opportunities for students, further demonstrating Torrens’ commitment to connecting students with the most influential organisations in their chosen field of study.
Torrens University’s Director of Student Recruitment & Operations, Chris Mumford, said the two organisations’ shared traits make the Sydney Roosters the perfect partner.
"It was clear to us from the beginning that the Roosters have a strong focus on community engagement and diversity with a passion for innovation, that extends from the training pitch all the way up to the boardroom,” Mumford said.
Sydney Roosters Chief Commercial Officer, Jarrod Johnstone, noted that having a strong tertiary education partner such as Torrens University will enable the Club to form a genuine partnership, showing a great synergy of the two brands and a shared direction.
“The ability for Torrens to offer assistance to not only our player welfare side of the club but also for staff across the entire Easts Group was what drew us to formally align with the University.” Johnstone said.
“We are very excited at the opportunities the partnership will provide for both organisations in 2021.”
To celebrate the partnership, Torrens University and the Sydney Roosters have launched a digital competition for Roosters Members and fans to stock up on Merchandise just before Christmas.
