Season Review | Boyd Cordner

After missing the opening two rounds of the 2020 season, Captain Boyd Cordner would make his long awaited return to the field in late May and made his presence felt from the get-go.

Always leading from the front, Cordner was his usual self when he was on the field representing the Sydney Roosters in 2020.

His second match of the season would see him notch over 200 running metres against the Brisbane Broncos in round 4, while a stellar performance against the Parramatta Eels in round 6 was one to remember.

After missing a chunk of the middle part of the season, Cordner's return against the Broncos highlighted his importance to the side with a number of tough runs and tackles.

He led with his actions every time he stepped on the field and his combination with Luke Keary, Josh Morris and Daniel Tupou on the left was as strong as ever.

At the conclusion of the season, he was named as Captain of the New South Wales Blues for the fourth consecutive State Of Origin series.
