Members Classics | Queensland

As we push towards 2021 and excitement begins to build for the new season, let's look back to some of the great wins that Sydney Roosters Members have enjoyed over recent seasons in Queensland.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Roosters Members and supporters missed a number of opportunities to see the Tricolours live throughout the season.

As it currently stands, the Club and the NRL are set to host many more Members and supporters at stadiums all over Australia next year for the 2021 season.

The best way to be present at games and be a True Rooster is to commit to the Club as a Member.

While enjoying some of these classic Queensland matches, be sure to check out our Membership options so you can be a part of the action in 2021.

Be A True Rooster

Get into the spirit of Magic Round

The Roosters have fond memories of the inaugural Magic Round – with 2019's clash providing fans with a nail-biter at Suncorp Stadium.

They raced out to a big lead in the opening stanza, with four first half tries giving the Tricolours a 24-6 lead against a gutsy Canberra Raiders side.

James Tedesco was spectacular, setting them up and scoring at will for the Roosters.

In the end, the Roosters held out the Raiders late to claim a 30-24 win.

In 2021, the Roosters will host the Cowboys as part of the second Magic Round in Brisbane.

Help us shine on the Gold Coast

The Roosters are set to return to the Gold Coast for the first time since 2018 in 2021.

The Titans finished their season on a high in 2020, which could make for an intriguing contest when the Roosters return to Cbus Super Stadium in the new year.

Our last encounter with the Titans was not anything but a walk in the park for the Tricolours. Sean O’Sullivan, Paul Momirovski and Poasa Faamausili made their Club debuts and were the unlikely heroes on the night.

All three scored in their debut match, marking a special occasion for the Roosters youngsters on the Gold Coast.

No doubt it'll be another tight one with two full strength sides in 2021.

Rise to the occasion in North Queensland

The Roosters are set to return to Queensland Country Bank Stadium in 2021, providing another opportunity for supporters in Townsville to see the Roosters in action.

The last time we met at Country Bank Stadium, Roosters Members and supporters were locked out of the match at the new venue due to crowd restrictions.

Knowing that Roosters Members and supporters would be glued to their TV screens on a Thursday night, the Roosters fought their way through a tough start to record a convincing 42-16 win in enemy turf.

Matt Ikuvalu was a late call-up (with 25 minutes notice) and rose to the occasion by scoring five tries on the right edge. It was the first time a Rooster has scored five tries in a single game since Brian Allsop in 1955.

The Roosters will look to put together another strong showing in 2021 – hopefully with Roosters Members and fans in attendance – when the club takes on the Cowboys in Townsville on Saturday, July 17.

A record-setting victory

The Roosters were looking for a long awaited victory against the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium when they took to the turf in round 4 of the 2020 season.

If there were any nerves from the Tricolours to begin with, they were quickly shut down as they went on to score five tries in the first forty minutes.

Another five tries and a field goal later, the Roosters would record the largest win over the Brisbane Broncos in NRL history.

The match saw Josh Morris score his first Roosters try, while Lindsay Collins had a breakout Fan Voted Man Of The Match performance.

They'll get another shot at Suncorp Stadium with the Broncos in round 22.
