Friendy Footy is a safe tackle program aimed to introduce and prepare kids for all the fundamental and physical skills used in a game of rugby league within a safe environment.
This program will be run as a 30 to 45-minute session over a 4-week period alongside Sydney Roosters accredited coaches.
The aim of the 4-week program is to increase each child’s confidence in all tackling situations and develop their competence as a rugby league player.
The camp is aimed at kids aged between 4-6 years of age.
Friendy’s Footy focus areas include:
- Landing safely
- Ball handling
- Catch and pass
- Running into a tackle
- Basic fundamentals of a tackle and tackle selection
This is a great way for all children to gain confidence, come and try rugby league and have fun!
The camp will be held throughout February 2021 at Waverley.
