The Sydney Roosters have today announced a change of venue for the Club’s Round 2 and Round 18 fixtures.
The Round 18 Roosters home game against the St George Illawarra Dragons match which was initially announced to be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) has been relocated to Central Coast Stadium due to venue availability.
Consequently, the Roosters’ Round 2 home game against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles which was originally scheduled to be played at Central Coast Stadium will now be played at the SCG.
“Together with Venues NSW we have worked to deliver what we believe is the best possible outcome,” said Roosters CEO Joe Kelly.
“The Round 2 fixture between two Sydney teams returning to the SCG is an exciting outcome for our Members and supporters, while having the opportunity to host a big club like the St George Illawarra Dragons at Central Coast Stadium also affirms our long-standing commitment to the region,” he added.
The updated schedule is now as follows:
Round | Fixture | Date | Venue |
Round 2 | Sydney Roosters vs Manly Warringah Sea Eagles | Friday, 18 March, 8.05pm AEDT | Sydney Cricket Ground, Moore Park |
Round 18 | Sydney Roosters vs St George Illawarra Dragons | Saturday, 16 July, 3.00pm AEDT | Central Coast Stadium, Gosford |
