Line Up for Second Trial vs Tigers Announced

A majority of the top 30 members of the Sydney Roosters' NRL squad will take the field for the first time in 2022 in Friday night's double-header clash against the Wests Tigers at Central Coast Stadium.

Following the side's first trial match last week, all four teams involved will also take the field, with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and Canberra Raiders kicking off at 6:00pm, before the Roosters and Tigers do battle at 8:10pm.

The side will take the field as named on Thursday.

Head Coach Trent Robinson has named a strong 23-man squad, featuring the likes of Daniel Tupou, new signings Paul Momirovski and Kevin Naiqama, Joseph Manu, Sam Walker, Sitili Tupouniua, Victor Radley and Lindsay Collins - who takes the field for the first time since early May.

Lachlan Lam takes his spot at fullback for the second week running, with Tupou and Naiqama on the wings, while Adam Keighran and Momirovski have been named in the centres.

Joseph Manu starts at five-eighth alongside Sam Walker with both making their first appearance of the year, as Fletcher Baker and Daniel Suluka-Fifita line up in the front row. Sam Verrills makes his first start at hooker.

Naufahu Whyte joins Sitili Tupouniua in the back row, with Victor Radley rounding off the starting side at lock.

The ten-man interchange bench features Drew Hutchison, Ben Thomas, Tuku Hau Tapuha, Collins, Ethan King, Terrell May, Tom Car, Ben Marschke, Sandon Smith and Eli Roberts.

Roosters Members and supporters will be treated to a double-header with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and Canberra Raiders set to kick-off at 6:00pm prior to the match. All trial matches in 2022 will be broadcast on Kayo.
