NRLW Line Up for Round 2 vs Titans

The Roosters' side to take on the Gold Coast Titans at WIN Stadium on Sunday afternoon has been trimmed 24 hours prior to kick-off.

Claire Reed, Lauretta Leao-Seve, Otesa Pule, Samantha Economos and Taylor-Adeline Mapusua have been omitted from the side.

Yasmin Meakes moves from the second row to wing in place of Reed, while Mya Hill-Moana starts in the front row on her Roosters debut, pushing Sarah Togatuki to the second row spot vacated by Meakes.

Joeli Morris and Corban Baxter are named as 18th and 19th person respectively.

The final line up will be available one hour prior to kick-off at 12:50pm.

The Sydney Roosters are proud to announce the Round 2 line up to take on the Gold Coast Titans at WIN Stadium in Wollongong this Sunday.

The Roosters will take on competition newcomers the Titans for the first time in what will be an intriguing match up across the park in another action-packed afternoon which will see all six NRLW sides take the field.

Newcastle Knights vs Brisbane Broncos kick-off:	12:00pm
Sydney Roosters vs Gold Coast Titans kick-off:	1:50pm
St George Illawarra Dragons vs Parramatta Eels kick-off:	3:40pm

The Roosters will be aiming to claim their first win of the season following a spirited display against reigning Premiers the Brisbane Broncos in Round 1, which saw a number of debutants put on the Red, White and Blue for the very first time.

John Strange has named a strong squad this week, which includes Captain Corban Baxter and experienced front rower Samantha Economos, both of whom have been named on the extended bench following late omissions last week.

Brydie Parker will start at fullback alongside Leianne Tufuga, Jess Sergis and Isabelle Kelly, with Claire Reed named to make her much-anticipated NRLW debut on the wing.

Jocelyn Kelleher has been named at five-eighth alongside Raecene McGregor, who will make her debut in the starting side for the Roosters at halfback.

The front row of Sarah Togatuki, Olivia Higgins and Tayla Predebon has been retained from last week, as has the back row featuring Yasmin Meakes, Olivia Kernick and Hannah Southwell, who has been named as captain.

Shawden Burton, Keilee Joseph, Zahara Temara and Simone Karpani have been named on the interchange bench, with Joeli Morris listed as 18th person.

Corban Baxter has been named on the extended bench alongside Lauretta Leao-Seve, Otesa Pule, Samantha Economos, Mya Hill-Moana and Taylor-Adeline Mapusua.

History beckons in Wollongong in yet another blockbusting triple header, with the Roosters looking to create history of their own in their first-ever clash against the Gold Coast Titans.
