Sydney Roosters Chief Executive Officer Joe Kelly has helped to raise over $101,000 for Steggles Charity Nest Partner Ronald McDonald House through the CEO Walk In My Shoes Campaign.
Mr Kelly participated in a 22-hour overnight immersion experience alongside other prominent CEOs, which included cooking and serving meals, gaining a better understanding of what families experience and gaining a unique insight into how the house was run.
The group of CEOs also came together to tackle business-oriented issues that have affected Ronald McDonald House Sydney.
In his own personal tally, Mr Kelly – alongside his donors – helped to raise $33,800, with the group of CEOs accruing an incredible $101,000, equating to enough funds to cover 631 nights for not only accommodation but support for families staying in Ronald McDonald House Centre Sydney.
My supporters were absolutely amazing in raising nearly $34,000 which equated to over 210 night’s accommodation for the families needing to stay at RMHC Sydney.

Mr Kelly was humbled by the experience and credited his supporters and donors for their contribution to the cause.
“The entire experience was a time to pause and reflect on the challenges too many families face with serious childhood illnesses,” Mr Kelly said.
“As a parent, after spending 24 hours in RMHC Sydney, you appreciate your own life even more, and at the same time and most importantly, you want to do more (much more) to help others that are going through these incredibly tough times.

“My supporters were absolutely amazing in raising nearly $34,000 which equated to over 210 night’s accommodation for the families needing to stay at RMHC Sydney.
“My donors’ incredible generosity has a direct and significant (positive) impact on the lives of those who are going through the toughest of times caring for their sick child. I cannot thank my 87 donors enough for generously helping to care for others who crucially need it.”
