Juniors Report Round 9: Roosters Record Resounding Wins

The SG Ball and Tarsha Gale Roosters sides both claimed the Minor Premiership while the Harold Matthews team joined them by finishing in the top two heading into their respective finals series.

In an incredible weekend for the Club's Pathways System, all ten of the Roosters' sides that took the field were undefeated, which saw the NRLW side claim their inaugural Premiership title

The three Junior Reps sides will now head into the semi-finals, with all three sides earning a first-week bye, while the Central Coast Roosters Harold Matthews side finished their season with a draw against South Sydney.

Harold Matthews Put 50 Past Dragons

The Sydney Roosters Harold Matthews side finished their regular season in style with a resounding 54-6 win over the St George Illawarra Dragons on Saturday afternoon.

Centre Cooper Toy claimed a hat-trick, while Lachlan Dooner tallied up fourteen points from the boot with seven goals.

Two tries in the opening eight minutes saw the Tricolours assert their dominance early, and while the Dragons hit back soon after, the Roosters held a comfortable 18-6 lead at the break.

It was one-way traffic in the second half as the Red, White and Blue dominated with six tries in 20-odd minutes, reaching the half-century and cementing second place.

Central Coast Finish Season All Square With Souths

The Central Coast Roosters Harold Matthews side finished their season with a 5-tries-all contest against the South Sydney Rabbitohs in Wyong.

Both sides started fast as they traded four-pointers in the first six minutes before the Red, White and Blue gained the ascendency to claim a 16-4 halftime lead.

Their opponents fought back in a close contest as they continued to go tit-for-tat - and with one try each in the final five minutes, the sides couldn't be split by fulltime.

Easts dominated from the outset with three tries in the opening seventeen minutes, adding another before halftime for a comfortable 18-6 lead.

The Tricolours continued to roll on from the break, adding a further four tries including three in the space of ten minutes, with five-eighth Ethan Strange scoring a hat-trick and hooker Tyler Moriarty bagging a double.

The SG Ball side will enjoy a week off in the first week of finals before taking the field in two weeks' time.

Tarsha Gale Remain Undefeated Against Grand Final Opponents

The Sydney Roosters Tarsha Gale Cup side continued their winning run for season 2022, claiming the Minor Premiership in a dominant display against last year's Grand Final Opponents St George.

Two of the Club's brightest youngsters in Otesa Pule and Pani Hopoate got the ball rolling as they both crashed over within the first ten minutes, with Ally Bullman adding her name to the scoresheet.

The Dragons hit back with a try of their own, but Pule scored once again to give the side a 22-4 lead at halftime.

Their opponents scored twice in quick succession to close the lead, but the Red, White and Blue powered through with three more tries as Pule completed a hat-trick to secure a 36-14 victory.

The Tarsha Gale side will also enjoy the bye in the first week of the finals.
