Roosters Radio Ep 123: Sam Walker

This week we sit down with young five-eighth Sam Walker.

Sam talks about his "engine", the partnership with Luke Keary, how he deals with criticism, working on his kicking game and the importance of the ANZAC Day clash against the Dragons.

We also look back at the victory over the Warriors and get insight from Sam about the visit and presentation of the jumpers from the 2002 Grand Final winning team.

Sam Walker claims Spirit of Anzac Medal

Walker touched on the experience of being able to share the SCG sheds with the heroes of 2002 following their win against the Warriors.

"It was awesome," he said.

"We caught up with them on our Captain's Run the day before the game, we sat down and had lunch with them.

"Ricky (Stuart) was speaking to us and had the 2002 boys there as well and had a bit of a snippet about each player and what they did that year.

"It was really cool to have them speak to us and have them present our jerseys. I thought the jerseys were really cool and a great initiative by the Club."
