Roosters Radio Ep 130: Blake Cavallaro

In this week's episode, we are joined by Sydney Roosters head of pathways and NSW Women's U19 coach, Blake Cavallaro.

Blake shares with us the development of our Roosters Juniors, his successful undefeated year with our Tarsha Gale side and what the Roosters have in the works to continue developing our juniors.

We also chat about our game on Sunday against Canberra and preview our huge clash with second place Storm this week, at our home, the SCG.

Cavallaro shed some light on the development of the Club's junior league programs, which has seen some great results in 2022.

Cavallaro: "They Deserve This"

“People don’t know what happens in regards to the lower grades and for us, 70% of our Harold Matthews players are from a local junior club,” he explained.

“I don’t think many of those other junior rep teams have that quota in regards to the small junior league base we have.

“I’ve been in the job for four years now and I’ve developed some programs to help the local juniors come through our system.

“In the winter we run a development and academy type program that’s across our thirteens all the way to our sixteen-year-old boys.”
