The Sydney Roosters are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former player Jim Campbell.
Campbell, Rooster #388, played 19 games for the Club between 1951 and 1954 as a second rower, playing alongside the likes of Jack Gibson, Ferris Ashton and John Bell in what was a revered forward pack.
Following his time at the Club, Mr Campbell had a successful career in New Zealand as a first-grade referee and was active in surf lifesaving, awarded the Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2011 for his long-standing services.
The Sydney Roosters extend their heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Jim Campbell at this time.
