Roosters Radio Ep 133: Boyd Cordner

In this week's episode, we are joined by Roosters Legend, Boyd Cordner.

Boyd talks to us about the decision around his retirement, how life has treated him since and what he misses most about the game.

We also dissect origin two with the former NSW Captain, preview this weekend's massive clash with top-of-the-table Penrith and Boyd shares his thoughts on our season thus far.

Boyd touched on his newfound enthusiasm following his fifteen-year career in retirement.

“All over the countryside, following Origin, going to the Super Bowl, it’s been good!” he said.

“It’s been unbelievable to be honest, I never thought I could be this relaxed. I suppose not having the stress around game-time, training, the responsibilities of being a senior player and the injuries that come on top of that, the wins, the losses - the list goes on.

“For that to be eradicated just like that, I wish I could be this more relaxed when I was playing so I could still have my hair!

“It’s a long time to be a professional athlete and I haven’t had the freedom to go off for the weekend or have a holiday for a week, and to get that now it’s really refreshing.

“The Roosters have been nothing but supportive.”
