Pilot Medical Update Round 21

The Sydney Roosters squad has been assessed by Club medical staff following Thursday's Round 21 match against the Brisbane Broncos. 

Sam Verrills was taken from the field in the 64th minute of the match for a Head Injury Assessment (HIA) and was also unable to return to the field. He has commenced the NRL's HIA protocol. 

Lindsay Collins (HIA) has resumed non-contact training and will continue through the NRL's HIA protocol while undergoing testing. 

Similarly, Siosiua Taukeiaho (cheekbone) has also resumed non-contact training and will continue through the necessary return to play program before commencing full-contact training. 

Sitili Tupouniua and Billy Smith (both ACL) had successful reconstructive surgery and have commenced their early rehabilitation 

There were no other injury concerns for the players that featured in the match. 

Meanwhile, all Roosters squad members involved with the North Sydney Bears' NSW Cup match on the weekend completed the match without any issues.
