Returning to North Sydney Oval and taking on a fellow top four side, the Bears took an early hit as the Dogs struck first, but were quick to reply as winger Tom Carr got them on the board.
Young back rowers Jacob Preston and Siua Wong added their names to the scoresheet as Norths continued their dominance, while half Sandon Smith added the cherry on top for a dominant first half, going into the sheds 20-4.

Much like the first stanza, Canterbury-Bankstown got over first to add some spice to the contest, however, it was Carr who went on with a further two tries to complete his hat-trick in the span of six minutes as the Bears charged on.
The visitors managed two tries in the final fifteen minutes, but it was the Bears who marked their return to Bear Park with a 30-20 victory.
The North Sydney Bears will host the Newcastle Knights this Sunday afternoon at 2pm at North Sydney Oval.

Reshuffled Roosters Shellshocked by Dogs
The Sydney Roosters Jersey Flegg side tasted defeat for just the fourth time this season, surprised by the ninth-placed Bulldogs 22-14 at Waverley Oval.
A reshuffled line up saw a number of key players dress up for the North Sydney Bears, however, the Tricolours got on hte board early thanks to Kyron Fekitoa and Vuate Karawalevu, leading 8-nil after fifteen minutes.
However, the rest of the half belonged to the visitors, who score three times in the span of ten minutes to take a 16-8 lead at the break, with plenty of work to do for the Roosters.

Barnstorming forward Naufahu Whyte opened the scoring for the second half to bring Easts back to within two points, however a try to the Bulldogs with ten minutes to go sealed the result, with the Roosters defeated 14-22.
