Steggles Roosters Charity Nest Raises Over $4.8 Million for Children’s Charities

The Sydney Roosters are delighted to announce that the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest has recently surpassed the incredible $4.8 million mark.

Established in 2010, the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest sees Roosters major partner Steggles donate $1,000 for every point the Roosters defeat the opposition by, with the Roosters also contributing $250 per point.

The Roosters’ results so far in the 2022 NRL season have seen the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest reach $4,808,539 in total funds raised since 2010.

The nominated charities supported by the Charity Nest include Lifestart, Children’s Hospital Foundation, Children’s Cancer Institute Australia and the Roosters Outreach program.

“It’s awesome to think that since 2010 Roosters players have helped raise over $4.8 million for the Steggles Charity Nest,” said Roosters captain James Tedesco.

“It’s something we’re all really proud of and hopefully we’ll continue to put in strong performances and add to the tally throughout the rest of the year,” he added.

Like Steggles, the Roosters share a long and proud history with a commitment to assisting our community where we can and it’s wonderful to think that more than $4.8 million has been raised for the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest since our partnership commenced in 2010.

Steggles Head of Marketing, Yash Gandhi, added: “We extend our thanks to the players for the significant role they continue to play in enabling us to support the important work that Australian Children’s charities continue to do every day and we look forward to this figure continuing to grow.”

There will be an on-field presentation to the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest partners at the Roosters’ Round 23 home game against the Wests Tigers this Saturday, August 20 at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
