Your 2023 Game Plan | Round 1

An historic occasion awaits the Sydney Roosters, as we kick off our 2023 NRL season against the NRL’s newest club, the Dolphins.

The Roosters will travel to Suncorp Stadium taking on the Dolphins in their maiden NRL game, honouring rugby league legend Arthur Beetson in the process. Artie made a significant contribution to both the Roosters and Dolphins, winning the 1965 Queensland title with the Dolphins before captaining the Roosters during the club’s back-to-back premierships in 1974 and 1975.

To commemorate the late Immortal, both clubs will play for the Artie Memorial Medal, to be awarded to the Man of the Match at every game between the Roosters and Dolphins commencing in Round 1.

Whether you’re rallying around the Roosters at Suncorp Stadium, cheering with fellow fans at Easts Bondi Junction, or barracking from the lounge at home, here’s everything you need to know ahead of Sunday’s season opener.
