NRL Judiciary Update:  Keary Found Guilty

The Sydney Roosters have tonight been unsuccessful in having the Grade One Dangerous Contact charge against Luke Keary overturned at the NRL Judiciary.

Keary entered a plea of not guilty after he was cited for an incident that occurred in the 13th minute of the Roosters’ Round 9 clash with the New Zealand Warriors, but was unsuccessful in his appeal to overturn the charge at the NRL Judiciary this evening.

As a result, Keary will receive a monetary fine of $1000 but will still be available to play in the Sydney Roosters Magic Round game against the North Queensland Cowboys on Sunday.

Luke Keary and Lindsay Collins have submitted their pleas after being cited in the Roosters' Round 9 clash with the New Zealand Warriors. 

Keary has entered a plea of not guilty in relation to his Grade One Dangerous Contact charge. The Club will contest the charge at the Judiciary this evening. 

Lindsay Collins has entered an early guilty plea in relation to his Grade One Dangerous Contact charge. As a result, the forward will receive a monetary penalty of $3000 and will be available for selection for the Roosters' clash with the North Queensland Cowboys on Sunday.

Following the Sydney Roosters Round 9 match against the New Zealand Warriors, Luke Keary and Lindsay Collins have been cited by the NRL Match Review Committee.

Keary was issued with a Grade One Dangerous Contact Charge following an incident that occurred in the 13th minute of the match.

Should the Club elect to enter an early guilty plea, Keary will receive a monetary fine of $750. If found guilty at the judiciary panel, however, the Irish International will receive a monetary fine of $1000.

Collins was issued with a Grade One Dangerous Contact Charge as a result of an incident that occurred in the 27th minute of the game.

Should the Club elect to enter an early guilty plea, Collins will receive a monetary fine of $3000. However, if the 27-year-old is found guilty at the judiciary, he will be unavailable for two matches.

Sydney Roosters has until 12pm on Tuesday to enter their pleas.
