NRL Judiciary Update: Suaalii and Turpin Enter Pleas

Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii and Jake Turpin have submitted their pleas after being cited by the Match Review Committee in Round 14.

Suaalii has entered an early guilty plea in relation to his Grade Two Dangerous Contact Charge. As a result, he will be unavailable for selection in the Roosters’ Round 15, Round 16 and Round 17 matches.  

In relation to his Grade One Careless High Tackle Charge, Turpin has elected to enter an early guilty plea. As a result, the hooker will receive a monetary fine of $1000 and will be available for selection for the Roosters’ Round 15 match against the Penrith Panthers.

Following the Sydney Roosters Round 14 match against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii and Jake Turpin have been cited by the NRL Match Review Committee.

Suaalii was issued with a Grade Two Dangerous Contact Charge following an incident that occurred in the 34th minute of the match.

Should Suaalii elect to enter an early guilty plea he will be unavailable for three matches.  If found guilty at the judiciary panel, however, the 19-year-old will be unavailable for four matches.

Turpin was issued with a Grade One Careless High Tackle Charge as a result of an incident that occurred in the 61st minute of the game.

Should Turpin elect to enter an early guilty plea, he will receive a monetary fine of $1000. If found guilty at the judiciary panel, however, the hooker will receive a monetary fine of $1500.

Suaalii and Turpin have until 12pm on Tuesday to enter their pleas.
