The Sydney Roosters are proud to announce the line-up for Sunday afternoon’s clash with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles at 4 Pines Park.
Set for a 4:05pm kick-off, the fixture will conclude the NRL’s annual Beanie for Brain Cancer Round, in support of the Mark Hughes Foundation. Roosters members and fans are encouraged to support the foundation by purchasing a beanie either at the game or online, or donating via markhughesfoundation.com.au.
Those making the trip across the Bridge this weekend will be treated to a double-header, with the NSW Cup Roosters going head-to-head with the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles at 1:35pm to commence Sunday’s proceedings.
Robinson's MHF Connection
Trent Robinson has made a couple of changes to the line-up this week, naming Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii to return on the wing and Siua Wong to make his NRL debut off the interchange bench.
James Tedesco will lead the team from fullback again this week, with Daniel Tupou, who requires a hattrick to become the Roosters’ all-time greatest try-scorer and Suaalii on the wings.
New Zealand International Joseph Manu will play his 150th NRL game this Sunday, partnering Billy Smith in the centres.
Keary: 'We Can Turn This Around'
Luke Keary and Sandon Smith continue to build a combination in the halves, while Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Jake Turpin and Lindsay Collins make up the front row.
Victor Radley will start in the second row this week with Egan Butcher unavailable after sustaining a concussion against the Raiders. Naufahu Whyte and Nathan Brown complete the back row and the starting side.
The interchange bench features Drew Hutchison, Terrell May, Siua Wong and Fletcher Baker. Junior Pauga, Corey Allan, Zach Dockar-Clay, Nat Butcher and Dylan Napa have been named on the extended bench.
