Steggles Roosters Charity Nest raises more than $5 million for Australian Children’s Charities

The Sydney Roosters are thrilled to announce that the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest has surpassed the incredible $5 million mark.

Established in 2010, the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest sees Roosters major partner Steggles donate $1,000 for every point the Roosters win by, with the Roosters also contributing $250 per point.

The Roosters’ results over the last fortnight have seen the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest exceed the $5 million mark, taking the total amount raised to an incredible $5,010,389 since 2010.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia, Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation, Children’s Cancer Institute and Children’s Hospital Foundation Queensland are the charities supported by the Charity Nest, with support also provided to the Roosters Outreach program.

“Steggles has a long and proud history with a commitment to giving back to the community, much like the Roosters and an integral component of our partnership since 2010 has been the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest,” said Sydney Roosters Chief Operating Officer, Jarrod Johnstone.

“We are incredibly proud to have reached this $5 million milestone in funds raised, and we applaud Steggles for their ongoing commitment to supporting a number of Australian Children’s charities,” he added.

Roosters captain James Tedesco thanked Steggles for enabling the players to offer their support to a number of Australian Children’s charities via the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest.

“As a playing group, we’re all really proud of the role we play in contributing to the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest, and it’s awesome to have reached this $5 million mark,” said Tedesco.

“On behalf of the playing group, I’d like to say a big thank you to Steggles for giving back to the community so generously, and for enabling us to play the role that we do. Hopefully we’ll continue to put in strong performances and continue to add to the tally throughout the rest of the year,” he added.

Steggles Head of Marketing, Yash Gandhi, added being able to make a meaningful difference to the lives of kids and their families going through hard times is what it’s all about.

“We are incredibly proud that we have reached the $5 million milestone. It is a testament to our partnership with the Roosters staff and players. We hope this amount continues to grow for years to come and we can continue to support the incredible work of these amazing charities,” said Gandhi.
