Pilot Medical Update: Round 26

The Sydney Roosters NRL squad has been assessed by Club medical staff following their Round 26 clash with the Wests Tigers.

An MRI has confirmed Joseph Manu sustained a Grade 1 hamstring strain during the match. He will work closely with the Club’s rehabilitation team this week and be given every opportunity to prove his fitness for Round 27.

Billy Smith, Sam Walker and Victor Radley were all taken from the field during the second half of the game for Head Injury Assessments (HIA) which they subsequently passed. The trio will be monitored by Club medical staff this week.

There were no injury concerns for the remainder of players that featured in the match.

James Tedesco is continuing to progress through the Club’s return to play protocols after sustaining a concussion in Round 25.

Naufahu Whyte made a successful return to play in the NSW Cup competition on the weekend after recovering from an MCL injury.

Sitili Tupouniua (neck), Paul Momirovski (shoulder) and Connor Watson (knee) are continuing their respective rehabilitations.
