Pilot Medical Update: Elimination Final

The Sydney Roosters NRL squad has been assessed by Club medical staff following their Elimination Final win over the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.

Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii failed his head injury assessment during half-time and will undergo the NRL’s mandatory 11-day concussion stand-down.

Joseph Manu was taken from the field for a minor recurrence of his previous Grade 1 hamstring strain. He will work with the Club’s rehabilitation team this week ahead of Friday’s Semi Final.

Billy Smith sustained a fractured jaw during the second half of the match and will undergo surgery this week.

Sam Walker and Brandon Smith have both been cleared of ankle injuries.

There were no injury concerns for the remainder of players that featured in the match.

Daniel Tupou (PCL), Paul Momirovski (shoulder), Connor Watson (knee) and Sitili Tupouniua (neck) are all progressing well in their respective rehabilitations under the guidance of Club medical staff.
