NRLW Medical Update: Round 8

The Sydney Roosters NRLW squad has been assessed by Club medical staff following their Round 8 clash with the Newcastle Knights.

Isabelle Kelly was taken from the field during the second half for a Head Injury Assessment (HIA) and was unable to return. She has commenced early phase rehabilitation in line with the Club’s return-to-play protocols and will be reviewed by an independent consultant later this week.

There were no injury concerns for the remainder of players that featured in the match.

Millie Boyle was a late withdrawal from Saturday’s clash with a shoulder injury, she will work closely with Club rehabilitation staff to prove her fitness in the lead up to Round 9.

Jessica Sergis had a successful internal fixation surgery on her finger last week, she will follow up with the surgeon and hand therapist in the coming days to commence rehabilitation.

Shannon Rose has returned to non-contact field-based training after successfully rehabilitating her hamstring strain.

Shawden Burton will undergo ACL reconstruction surgery in the coming fortnight.

Amber Hall (lisfranc) and Tavarna Papalii (ACL) are continuing their rehabilitation for their respective injuries under the guidance of Club medical staff.
