The Sydney Roosters are thrilled to announce the contract extension of NRLW vice-captain, Corban Baxter for a further three years.
The signing ensures that Baxter, one of the most decorated players in women’s rugby league, remains a one-club player. She has also etched her name in Roosters’ history as the Club's first Captain to hoist the NRLW Premiership trophy.
Baxter made her return to the NRLW in 2023 following the birth of her youngest son. The foundation signing played in all 10 matches, scoring seven tries.
As tough and versatile as they come, Baxter has proven herself at the highest levels of the code, representing New South Wales in State of Origin as well as the Australian Jillaroos and leading the New Zealand Māori All Stars.
“I’m thrilled to continue my journey with my Chookies family. The Roosters club means so much to me and I’m so proud that I’ll continue to be part of the team we have here for the next three years,” said Baxter.
“Corban leads with her actions and her words, and her work ethic, leadership, and passion for the game make her a key member of our squad so it’s terrific to have her locked into our long-term plans," said Roosters NRLW head coach John Strange.
