Roosters Strengthen NRLW Squad With Lopamaua Extension & Carlile Signing

The Sydney Roosters are pleased to announce that Eliza Lopamaua has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping her at the Club until the end of the 2027 NRLW season.

Lopamaua, who has progressed through the Roosters’ female pathway program, has been a key contributor to the squad with her strong performances and work ethic. She made her NRLW debut in the opening round of the 2024 season, completing the year with four appearances in the top grade.

Roosters NRLW Head Coach John Strange expressed his excitement about securing Lopamaua for the long term.

“Eliza is a hardworking and skilful player who has continued to develop her game with us. We’re thrilled to have her remain a Rooster for the next few seasons, and I have no doubt she will continue to make a significant impact on and off the field,” said Strange.

Additionally, the Club has announced the signing of Macie Carlile on a one-year contract for the 2025 NRLW season.

Carlile, who has played two games in the NRLW (2023, St George Illawarra Dragons), has joined the Roosters from the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership team.

“Macie is a strong runner of the ball and we’re looking forward to seeing her contribute to the team and continue her development here at the Roosters,” said Strange.
