Senior Reps Teamlist | Sunday 4th May, 2025

The Sydney Roosters have announced their senior representative teams for Saturday’s Round 9 clashes.

NSW Cup Team (Round 9):

Roosters N.S.W. Cup Coach Brett Morris has named his side for Sunday’s clash with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

Owen Flaherty, who played fullback in the Roosters most recent match against Penrith, has been named as 18th man, with his replacement not yet named but given Ethan King is on the extended NRL bench he may well be Flaherty’s replacement.

Dominic Young makes his Roosters NSW Cup debut on the right wing, replacing Trey Peni.

In the forwards Max McCathie and Hayden Barton swap positions with Barton named his week at lock and McCathie in the second row.

Xavier Va’a has been suspended. His spot at prop has not been announced either but like with the fullback spot, it could well be filled by a player named on the NRL extended bench, in Taylor Losalu.

Beniah Ioelu, with two matches behind him after returning from injury, is named to start at hooker this week, with Reece Foley reverting to the bench.

Finally, there are two changes to the bench. Egan Butcher (NRL) and Ethan Roberts are out, replaced by Lafi Tuinavai and Josh Finau.

Jersey Flegg Cup Team (Round 9):

Roosters Jersey Flegg Cup Coach Dean Feeney has named his side for Sunday’s clash with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

After a win on the weekend against the Silktails there is just one forced change to the team. Winger Osca Catton comes into the team on the right for Tyreece Tait (two match suspension).

After serving a three-match suspension Jackson De Lisle returns as 18th man, whilst Aholoka Toia has one more match to serve on his suspension so will miss this game too.
