
The Sydney Roosters have announced their senior representative teams for Sunday’s Round 12 clashes.
NSW Cup Team (Round 12):
Sydney Roosters NSW Cup Coach Brett Morris has named his team for Saturday’s clash with Newtown at Gosford.
Six of last week’s N.S.W. Cup team have been promoted to the NRL squad whilst halfback Chad Townsend is out with an ankle injury.
Owen Flaherty replaces Ethan King (NRL 18th Man) at fullback whilst Tyreece Tait replaces Dominic Young (NRL) on the wing. S.G. Ball Cup grand final player of the match Toby Rodwell is the new halfback, in for the injured Townsend.
In the pack Lafi Tuinauvai comes in for Xavier Va’a (NRL 19th Man) whilst Vito Tevaga takes the spot of Salesi Foketi (NRL) in the backrow. Tyler Moriaty is the new starting hooker, in for Beniah Ioelu (NRL), with Reece Foley taking Moriaty’s bench spot. Rhys Dakin moves from lock to prop with Ethan Roberts taking Dakin’s lock spot and Josh Finau replacing Roberts on the bench.
Finally, S.G. Ball Cup premiership prop Itula Seve, will make his N.S.W. Cup debut at just 18 years of age, taking the bench spot of Aholoka Toia (back to Jersey Flegg Cup), whilst the Club welcomes back De La Salle Va’a, to play his first match of 2025, replacing Taylor Losalu (NRL) on the bench.
The N.S.W. Cup game is the second match of a triple header at Gosford, with a kick off time of 5.05 pm.

Jersey Flegg Cup Team (Round 12):
Sydney Roosters Jersey Flegg Cup Coach Dean Feeney has named his team for Saturday’s clash with Cronulla-Sutherland at Gosford.
There are a number of changes from the team that lost to Manly-Warringah in Round 10. Central Coast junior Brooklyn Rosemeyer, a member of the wider S.G. Ball Cup winning Roosters squad, is the new halfback, replacing Bo Peisley. Two S.G. Ball Cup premiership forwards are also promoted into the Flegg team. Prop Kanaan Magele is selected in the starting pack, for the suspended Fanafou Seve and Peter Benjamin Uini joins the bench for fellow S.G. Ball Cup premiership winner Phillip Lavakeiaho.
S.G. Ball Cup captain Jaxson Allen is replaced as hooker by Zac Gillett, with Gillett’s bench spot replacement yet to be announced, whilst Hayden Lammon is into the starting team in the second row for Ethan Roberts. Finally, on the bench Aholoka Toia drops back from NSW Cup to replace another S.G. Ball Cup premiership player, Itulu Seve. Ethan Roberts and Itula Seve will both play N.S.W. Cup on Saturday.
The Jersey Flegg Cup game is the first match of a triple header at Gosford, with a kick off time of 3.00 pm.
