The Sydney Roosters have announced their senior representative teams for Sunday’s Round 13 clashes.

 

NSW Cup Team (Round 13):

Sydney Roosters NSW Cup Coach Brett Morris has named his team for Sunday’s clash with Canberra at Wentworth Park.

After scoring a double for Glebe on the weekend, Trey Peni comes onto the right wing to replace Tyreece Tait. Veteran halfback Chad Townsend returns from a back injury to replace Toby Rodwell whilst Ethan King returns at fullback, after missing last week’s game with NRL duties, relegating Owen Flaherty to 18th man.

Xavier Va’a is back from NRL duty, taking the front row spot of Lafi Tuinauvai, whilst Makahesi Makatoa takes the lock spot with Ethan Roberts moving from lock to the second row, replacing Vito Tevaga.

In other changes Rhys Dakin moves to the bench, replacing Josh Finau, but his starting prop spot is yet to be filled, pending how the Roosters Origin players get through Wednesday night’s game. S.G. Ball Cup prop Phillip Lavekeiaho is scheduled to make his NSW Cup debut on the bench, replacing his S.G. Ball Cup team mate Itula Seve. Reece Foley is off the bench with his replacement to also to be determined later in the week.

The N.S.W. Cup game will kick off at 2.00 pm.

Jersey Flegg Cup Team (Round 13):

Sydney Roosters Jersey Flegg Cup Coach Dean Feeney has named his team for Sunday’s clash with Canberra at Wentworth Park (noon kick off).

French centre Enzo Griffier is out, replaced by Kallum Weatherall-Stacey, whilst  Zac Gillett, who played five eighth last weekend, has been named on the bench with his replacement at five eighth to be determined later in the week.

Young prop Kanaan Magele who was replaced injured in the loss to Cronulla-Sutherland is out, as are bench props Peter Benjamin Uini (concussion protocols) and Aholoka Toia. A new starting prop and a new bench prop are yet to be named.
