Senior Reps Teamlists | Sunday, 13th July, 2025

The Roosters have announced their senior representative teams for matches being played this Sunday.

NSW Cup Team (Round 19):

With eight players returning to the NRL side this week, a similar number of changes were required to the NSW Cup team.

Ethan King (fullback), Tom Rodwell (left wing), Ben Johnson (right centre), Sandon Smith (five eighth), Taylor Losalu (prop), Beniah Ioelu (hooker), De La Salle Va’a (prop), Max McCathie (right edge forward) and Makahesi Makatoa (bench) are all expected to return from NRL duty to the NSW Cup side, although King (NRL 18th man) and Losalu (NRL 19th man) will only play if not required by the NRL side on Saturday.

In other changes Junior Tupou is expected to move from left wing to right wing to accommodate the return of Rodwell and Hayden Barton will likely move from right edge to left edge forward due to the return of McCathie.

Chad Townsend is out this week with concussion, with Toby Rodwell moving from five eighth to halfback to replace him. Owen Flaherty is picked at left centre with Ethan King’s expected return, whilst Tyler Moriaty (hooker) goes back to the bench following the return of Ioelu. Aholoka Toia joins Moriaty on the bench with the return of De La Salle Va’a as one of the starting props. Older brother Xavier Va’a is still sidelined following his concussion in Round 17.

Meanwhile, four try hero from last round Trey Peni goes from right wing to 18th man and Rhys Dakin goes from starting prop to 19th man. Lafi Tuinauvai, who was activated into the game as 18th man last week, is out of the team.

Will Malloy (left centre), Lachlan Dooner (right centre), Ethan Roberts (left edge), Jaxson Allen (bench hooker), Zack Visconti (bench lock) and Kanaan Magele (bench prop) are all out and are likely inclusions in the Roosters Jersey Flegg team.

NSW Women’s Premiership Team (Round 2):

Central Coast NSW Women’s Premiership Coach Nathan Anderson has named his team for Sunday’s clash with St George at Jubilee Oval.

Anderson has been forced into making major changes to the team that went down to Penrith in the opening round of the 2025 season. Emphasising the youthfulness of the 2025 Central Coast squad, 7 of last week’s 17 will not play this week due to representative commitments at this week’s Australian schools carnival in Coffs Harbour.

The four NRLW development players (Sienna Thomas, Talea Tonga, Mahlie Cashin and Ellie Brander) as well as Lacey Cross, Grace Dabin and Tyra Dymock will all be in Coffs Harbour from Saturday. Joining them at the carnival will be 2025 squad members Makena Hammond and Ella Knowles, bringing the number of Central Coast Roosters NSW Women’s Premiership squad members playing there to nine. Winger Logan Fletcher was expected to play at the carnival but has been called up for NRLW duty following the loss of both starting NRLW wingers from Round 1 through injury.

With those eight players missing Anderson has moved Tyra Ekepati from right wing to right centre and Nikiah Campbell from right centre to right edge to replace Grace Dabin. Dabin is replaced at right edge by Luca-Bella Ngature-Ongley. Faagase Tupuola-Palata and Annabelle Ross are the two new wingers, coming in for Ekepati and Logan Fletcher. Jayla Dicker moves from the bench to replace Talea Tonga at five eighth, whilst NRLW squad member Jayde Herdegen, an off-season recruit from Wynnum-Manly in Brisbane, is the new half back, replacing Sienna Thomas.

In further changes, Sienna Deeley moves from prop to lock, replacing Ellie Brander, with Tahlia Smith moving from the bench to replace Deeley in the front row. The four new bench players are Meg McPhail, Lillie McLean, Zoe Lee and Milly Lupo, who come in for Mahlie Cashin,Tyra Dymock, Dicker and Smith.

Four NRLW squad members (Ekepati, Herdegen, Imogen Hei and Eliza Lopamaua) have been selected to play in this round 2 clash.
