The Roosters have announced their senior representative teams for matches being played on Sunday.

NSW Cup Team (Round 21):

Sydney Roosters NSW Cup Coach Brett Morris has named his team to play 7th placed Canterbury-Bankstown at Belmore Sports Ground on Sunday.

There are a number of changes from the side that pulled off that miraculous comeback win over Newtown on Saturday.

Tom Rodwell moves from fullback back to his regular spot on the left wing, with the very versatile Reece Foley moving from five eighth to fullback to replace Rodwell. Emery Jolliffe, who played left wing last week is named as 18th man. Veteran Chad Townsend returns to the sid,e from NRL duty, at halfback with last Saturday’s player of the match, Toby Rodwell, taking Foley’s five eighth spot to accommodate Townsend’s return.

In the forwards Jake Elliott returns early from his ankle injury at lock, forcing Aston Warwick back to the bench at the expense of Josh Finau. Also returning after a few weeks out is prop De La Salle Va’a, who joins his brother Xavier, hooker Tyler Moriaty and Warwick on the bench. Cook Islands international Rhys Dakin, the only Rooster to play every game this season, drops off the bench for Va’a, and has been named as 19th man.

Saturday, 2nd August against Manly-Warringah at Brookvale.

NSW Women’s Premiership Team (Round 4):

Central Coast NSW Women’s Premiership Coach Nathan Anderson has named his team for Sunday’s clash with 5th placed Canterbury-Bankstown at Woy Woy.

NRLW development player Talea Tonga returns from the Australian school’s carnival and takes back the five eighth spot from Jayla Dicker, forcing a number of other changes. Dicker goes to right centre, with Grace Dabin moving back to the bench. Also returning from the school’s carnival is lock and co-captain Ellie Brander. A NRLW development player, Brander’s return means the other co-captain Sienna Deeley goes back to the front row, replacing Taneisha Gray who suffered an injury to her right knee in last week’s loss to the Steelers.

Finally, Zoe Lee and Lillie McLean drop off the bench for Gabin and one more still to be named.
