Teams have been named for Sunday’s NSWRL senior representative rugby league fixtures. Both Roosters teams will play the Newcastle Knights at Wentworth Park.
NSW Cup Team (Round 7):
Coach Brett Morris has named his team, who currently sit 5th on the competition table, to play the competition leaders the Newcastle Knights at Wentworth Park on Sunday. The match kicks off at 2.45 pm.
With the Roosters NRL team also playing on Sunday, the NSW Cup team won’t be able to call on any of the players in the NRL match day playing squad for this game.
Egan Butcher returns from the NRL squad to start at lock, with Jaxson Rahme returning to the bench, at the expense of Kanaan Magele.
Max McCathie, who finished last week’s match on the right edge after coming off the bench, has been picked to start there on Sunday, meaning Hayden Barten goes back to the bench.

Jersey Flegg Cup Team (Round 7):
Coach Anthony Barnes has named his team, who currently sit 12th on the competition table, to play 14th placed Newcastle Knights at Wentworth Park on Sunday. The match kicks off at 12.30 pm.
Unfortunately, Barnes hasn’t been able to finalise his line-up at this stage with the positions of left centre, hooker, lock and two interchange players to be determined later in the week. One definite out from last week, however, is Kiwi left centre Jackson Stewart, who injured his right shoulder/collarbone mid-way through the second half on Saturday, and did not return to the field.
The team will be finalised at 11.30 am on Sunday.
