Coach Boyd Cordner has named his team for the Preliminary Final, as the Roosters attempt to defend their 2025 title in next week’s Grand Final, if they can defeat the Rabbitohs.

Central Coast Roosters Lisa Fialoa Cup Team (Preliminary Finals):

The Central Coast Roosters, who finished 4th on the competition ladder at the conclusion of the regular season, with six wins and two losses, play 2nd placed Newcastle at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday. The match kicks off at 11.30 pm.

The teams clashed back in Round 4 when the Knights beat the Roosters 36-14. The Knights are undefeated in 2026 whilst the Roosters are attempting to qualify for a second successive Grand Final.

Coach Jayme Fressard has today named her team for the Preliminary Final.

Talia Berryman has been elevated to the starting side, after being named at right centre, meaning Jaggar Curnow reverts back to the bench to replace Berryman.

After missing last week’s semi-final Aaliyah Temete returns in the front row, with Ellshah Paki going back to the bench and Sharleze Bartlett dropping out of the 17. The final change sees Morgan Kernick (concussion) return for the first time since the Roosters Round 9 clash with the Wests Tigers earlier this month. She replaces Isabella Newton on the bench.

Left winger Sienna Kennedy-Wilkie (concussion), who is the equal leading try scorer for the club this season with 11 tries, has not been named.
