Teams have been named for Sunday’s NSWRL senior representative rugby league fixtures. Both Roosters teams will play the St George Illawarra Dragons in Wollongong.

NSW Cup Team (Round 8):

Coach Brett Morris has named his team, who currently sit 3rd on the competition table, to play 4th placed St George/Illawarra at Collegians Sporting Complex, Wollongong next Sunday. The match kicks off at 1.00 pm.

Tommy Talau returns to the team from NRL duty at left centre, replacing Lachlan Dooner, whilst prop Kanaan Magele has been named on the bench, after missing last week’s win, replacing Hayden Barton, who has been chosen as 19th man.

Owen Flaherty, who has been playing fullback in recent weeks, whilst Cody Ramsey has been on NRL duty, has been named as 18th man. The positions of fullback and one interchange spot will be determined after the NRL team plays on Saturday, and will be announced at 12.00 pm on Sunday.

Jersey Flegg Cup Team (Round 8):

Coach Anthony Barnes has named his team, who currently sit 13th on the competition table, to play competition leaders St George/Illawarra at Collegians Sporting Complex, Wollongong next Sunday. The match kicks off at 11.00 am.

French international Enzo Griffier re-joins a significant Jersey Flegg Cup casualty ward, after injuring his arm in last Sunday’s game. His replacement at right centre will be confirmed at 10.00 am on Sunday, alongside the choice of five eighth, which was filled in last Sunday’s game by NRL squad member Jake Elliott.

The remainder of the team for Sunday is unchanged from the team that was beaten by Newcastle last weekend.

NSW Women’s Premiership Team

The competition doesn’t commence until Saturday, 17th June. The Central Coast Roosters team, which finished 10th in 2025, will again be coached by Damian Hargreaves in 2026.
