The Central Coast Roosters NSW Women’s Premiership team will fly the flag for the Club this weekend in Week One of the 2026 NSWRL Finals.

NSW Cup Team (Week One Finals):

The 6th placed Sydney Roosters, coached by Brett Morris, missed the finals by just one competition point. Returning to the NSW Cup in 2023, the team has slowly risen up the ladder each year since. After finishing 14th (last) in 2023, 10th in 2024, 7th in 2025 and 6th this year, with 13 wins and 9 losses.

Jersey Flegg Cup Team (Week One Finals):

The 10th placed Sydney Roosters, coached by Anthony Barnes, also missed the finals, finishing the season with 8 wins and 13 losses.

NSW Women’s Premiership Team (Week One Finals):

Coach Nathan Anderson has named his team, who finished the regular season in 5th spot on the competition ladder, for their elimination preliminary semi final against Mounties. The match, on Sunday, at Leichhardt Oval kicks off at 1.00 pm.

The Roosters team will feature NRLW squad members Mia Wood (fullback), Talea Tonga (halfback), Shawden Burton (hooker), Eliza Lopamaua (prop), Tatum Bird (bench hooker) and Nikiah Campbell (right centre), as well as development players Te Raukura Leafe (prop), Logan Fletcher (fullback) and Mia Vaotu’ua (five eighth).

NRLW development player Anastasia Leatupue (right centre) will miss this match, and one more, after being suspended whilst NRLW squad members Marcie Carlile and Keighley Simpson will stay on the sidelines for the rest of the season, with knee injuries. Finally, NRLW squad members Mia Wood and Taneisha Gray will also miss the game as they travel to Townsville with the NRLW team.

Regular starting prop Tyra Dymock suffered a serious knee injury on Saturday and won’t play again this season, so the forward pack will miss both Dymock and Gray from last Saturday’s team. The Roosters also lose right centre Anastasia Leatupue. with a two-match suspension, but welcome back hooker Shawden Burton.

Logan Fletcher and Manisha Seebeck swap roles, with Fletcher named at fullback and Seebeck on the right wing for the finals clash with the Mounties. Eliza Lopamaua replaces Dymock as starting prop, with Zoe Coyne recalled to the bench to replace Lopamaua. Nikiah Campbell moves from right edge to right centre to replace the suspended Leatupue, with Jemma Wooden the replacement for Campbell in the starting forward pack.

Makenna Hammond moves from the bench to replace Gray, with Lahni Moore the new bench player. Finally, with Burton’s return as starting hooker, Tatum Bird moves to the bench, and Tia loses her spot in the 17.
