The Sydney Roosters have today announced that Anthony Cherrington has been granted an immediate release from his contract to join the Penrith Panthers.
Sydney Roosters Chief Operating Officer Football, Brian Canavan, said: The club has invested a lot of energy into Anthony following a lengthy period of repeated injuries and it is with sadness that we see him go, but we feel that this move will reinvigorate him as he attempts to find his way back to the NRL.
We thank Anthony for his contribution to the club especially throughout the community over the last couple of years and he leaves with our very best wishes for the future.
