NYC Head Coach Paul Green has named his side for this weekend's final trial before their season kicks off on March 7 against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Following last weekend's last-gasp win over Manly in Gosford, the Roosters Under 20s side will be keen to finish their pre-season on a high with a win on Saturday afternoon in front of the Kogarah Oval crowd.

After allowing the Sea Eagles a 16-0 lead after just 20 minutes last Saturday, the junior Tricolours fought back to go into the half-time break at 16 all.

A strong second half from both sides saw the lead swapped on several occasions in an expansive, end-to-end match, with Green's side claiming victory in the dying stages through a well-worked try.

Ahead of their encounter this weekend with last year's NYC winners, Green spoke to Roosters.com.au about the challenge ahead and last Saturday's victory.

"We got off to a terrible start but showed some good signs and attitude to get back in the match and level it up at half time."

"I was pretty happy with the performance, but we need to improve a fair bit all around the park."

Green welcomes back one of the stars of last weekend's NRL victory over Manly, Samisoni Langi, who joins Tyler Cornish in the halves to direct around the 24-man outfit named.

With the season just two weeks away now, Green knows the importance of this weekend's trial however certainly has one eye firmly fixed on that Round 1 blockbuster with the Bunnies.

"There's still a few spots up for grabs in the 17 for Round 1 and we're just working towards getting our game right for that fixture, starting last week and continuing this weekend."

The match kicks off at 1.30pm, at Kogarah Oval.
